Car Companies Scared of Cyclists?

Are car companies becoming scared of cyclists? In addition to the great words offered by The Car Empire Strikes Back on Copenhagenize I would have to agree. Cycling companies used the "Green Revolution" to completely undercut the car industry and I am not remorseful at all. Cars are the cause of our independence on oil. There is no denying their convenience but if we could get everyone to ride instead of drive then imagine that world. Its a work in progress. It appears that the car industry, and Audi imparticular (being a Euro company and surrounded by the most progressive society on earth), are using the same tactics that Cycling companies used on them years ago. I am all for this competition. If car companies are scared then that means some real change is happening right before our eyes. Never thought that I would see the day.

Honestly though, there is no denying the fact that the Audi A3 is an AMAZING automobile. Maybe one day when I am all grown up.
