Everyday Cycling

This Danish advertisement promoting everyday cycling is from 1995. It's interesting. Usually well-known racing cyclists are sponsered to sell 'gear' and cycling as a sport.

If you don't know, this advertisement features the Danish racing cyclist Jesper Skibby. I only know this because I worked with a Danish bike mechanic back in New Mexico. Spoke like 4 languages. Miss you Jed!!

I digress, I like the way that a racing cyclist and an everyday cyclist (in the form of the Cycling Girl) are presented as equals. As though they each can inspire each other and they are both hardy and deserve respect. A refreshing lack of elitism.
