Some hardcore enthusiasts of this “philosophy” are taking it to another level by not buying anything new at all. And since I strive to be somewhat of a minimalist (not doing a very good job by the way), I think it’s a fantastic idea.
There are so many things that I want right now, and the consumerist part of me wants me to buy all of them. But the hobo side of me knows better.
I’m going to try to go without buying anything new until June.
Why June? I think that is a sufficient enough amount of time for me to pay off my credit card, and re-establish an emergency/ travel fund. Hopefully I can meet these goals before then.
This means I cannot purchase any new clothes, bike parts, toys, technology, gear, etc. of any kind.
The exceptions:
-I can buy necessities (underwear, deodorant, etc.)
-I can buy something only if I can sell something of mine that is of equal or greater value than the new new
-Traveling, blow-out trips, activities, tickets, etc. are excluded
I think I am ready to do this.
Im proud of you love. But what about buying me a plan ticket to visit? Is that a necessity or an unnecessary trip to puut money into in april? Just food for thought lovie
