taking better care of my stuff.

Over the past couple of years I have either broken or misplaced dozens of my belongings. Belongings which I used my money to purchase; now unusable or gone.

As a hobo, that is one of the cardinal sins. It means that I would have to either buy a new one (of whatever item was broken/misplaced), or pay to have it repaired. It’s essentially like paying double for something that you already bought. If I would have just taken better care of my stuff, I wouldn’t be having this problem.

Here is a small list of things that I have either broken or misplaced, along with their monetary values:

1. Kodak Camera $150
2. Vado Cam $116
3. Chrome Bag $160
4. Kitchen set + Silverware $40
5. Phone Charger & Bluetooth $15
6. iPod $240
7. Laptop $500

Remember that the prices next to the items are the approximate street value of the item, it doesn’t take into account the additional costs of replacement, repair, , etc.

Add up all of those numbers and that amounts to a whole lot of money. Wasted simply because I didn’t take better care of my stuff.
