I heard some fool (who is a DJ on a "Hip-Hop" radio station here in Albuquerque) say that Jay- Z is the King of Hip Hop. I laughed and after realized how sad our state of Hip Hop is.
haha ya that's one great cd. One. If I can name 3 guys that have made albums that are better than American gangster in the last 5 years then he isn't king of anything. And I can name 3 with ease. Lots of people think he is though and that's sad because the great hip hop out there isn't hitting the radio. Compared to the hip hop legends before him and the great mc's of today (like grouch, murs, josh martinez, RZA, One Be Lo, K'naan, etc...) he's alright. Simply alright.
