I live on the far west side of town in Westgate; Westgate is right next to (about a 20 minute bike ride) from the Petroglyphs, as seen here.

We are about two hours away from Colorado... nationally acclaimed as the "outdoor mecca of America"... or something like that. I haven't been but a lot of crazy endurance teams are training out there. The elevation where I live is a solid 5,000 feet above sea level... not shabby. Albuquerque's an oasis for all of those reasons, PLUS, we have the amazing Rio Grande that flows through the center of the city... toooo beautiful. I ride my bike right next to it on my way to school. It's my paradise.... except when I jump off the bike path and have to ride next to cars again. FUCK CARS.
I digress, after I got finished moving all of my stuff into my room I decided to take the new Blue Competition Cycles RC4 for a climb. Not just any climb though. It's the Dennis Chavez climb.... right in my backyard basically. Probably about a 2 miles of straight climb if u start at the bottom. I don't start at the bottom though. My climb starts right at the point where the hill takes a nasty turn into Steep-town. I descend it every morning on my way to school and work too..... toooo fun. This is the view from the top when the sun is going down. Enjoy.

What is New Mexican culture supposed to be?
